Alice in Wonderland
I had loads of fun making these little Alice in Wonderland decorations for Celia’s kitchen tea. Since I hadn’t watched the latest Alice in Wonderland movie, I drew on my childhood memories of the story! Mad Hatter, queen of hearts, the disappearing Cheshire cat, bunnies, teapots and tea cups, misleading signs, mushrooms, butterflies and fields of flowers!
When I delivered these cupcakes to her house, it was cleverly decorated with all things Alice in Wonderland. It was very creative!!
The cupcakes were amongst many other culinary delights already set up on the tables. A beautiful selection of teas were also on display.
Hope all the guests enjoyed the custom made cupcakes and also the full selection of my classic range on offer!

A 60th Birthday Surprise!
I had fun doing this order - a 60th birthday surprise party. What better way to celebrate this surprise by designing a cake in the form of a wrapped present!
The main theme of the celebration was red. Complimentary colours of yellows, oranges, and greens also featured throughout my cake design.
The mini cutting cake was a chocolate mud cake. The mini cupcakes which accompanied this were chocolate mud and white chocolate and raspberry mud flavours.
All sugar decorations were handcrafted - from the main bow on the cutting cake to the 60 age plates, mini daisies and mini bows.

Sunny Days
My dear friends Brad and Denise got engaged recently and I wanted to give them something special as a congratulations.
The proposal happened on a surprise trip to South America and I wanted to incorporate something that was significant from the proposal itself. After looking through Denise’s engagement photos, I stumbled across one that gave me a great idea.
The engagement ring was waiting on the hotel table, accompanied by Sunny, their little stuffed toy and travel companion, and a rose (see inset picture below).
A big congratulations to Brad & Denise. We are very happy and excited for you both. All the very best in the planning and preparations leading up to the big day!

I made some special Easter treats for my family. Choc jaffa mini cake bites covered in dark chocolate ganache, and rolled in sprinkles and cocoa powder…mmm yummy!

Baby Girl!
When the request came through for custom made baby shower cupcakes, I jumped up with glee! All things baby are so cute! My mind was racing….baby bears, pigs, ducks, dummies, baby bottles, little baby booties…the list was endless!
I had a load of fun making these so I thought I’d share them with you.

I hand made each individual sugar decoration. These were the baby themed toppers for each mini cupcake. I ended up choosing to make baby ducks, pigs, baby bottles, dummies and little booties.

The cupcake flavours chosen included a choc jaffa cake with fluffy buttercream icing and a vanilla cake with fluffy strawberry buttercream icing.
I thoroughly enjoyed making these and hope that they were enjoyed just as much at the baby shower. All the very best in preparation for the birth and for the wonderful joys of motherhood!

Our ‘Present’ Cake
Here is our two tiered mini ‘present’ cake and cupcake combination.
The mini cakes are covered with fondant, decorated like a present and with hand crafted edible sugar decorations.
The cake flavour chosen was a white chocolate and raspberry mud cake (special request). Absolutely gorgeous.
